Many of you know that my family is walking through a time of transition and sorrow as my dear mother nears the end of her life. As difficult as this is for my siblings and me, watching my daughter try to process her grandmother’s decline has been a unique struggle for Husband and me. How do you teach a toddler to grieve?
In His usual fashion, God whispered an answer to our prayers in an unexpected and most unlikely place.
A book.
Written from the heart of a woman who has walked her own journey of grief, I Can’t Believe They’re Gone, from Karen Brough, is a book that teaches children to explore the space in which they grieve and offers hope and encouragement in their unique expression of sorrow.
Part of Karen’s hope for this project is to donate copies wherever kids might need to find hope. Right now, you can help me help Karen accomplish this! THIS WEEKEND ONLY, when you use the link below to purchase or donate a copy of I Can’t Believe They’re Gone, both Karen and I will donate a copy to a school, a library, a church – any place we can gift a copy that might change a child’s life!
This is an amazing book and an amazing opportunity to put free books where children can access them.
Be sure to use the link below, which is specific for you – my blog and facebook friends!
